SnapVeil Privacy Policy

SnapVeil is a privacy-focused screenshot and annotation extension for Google Chrome.

Data Collection

SnapVeil does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information.

The extension does not use analytics, tracking, advertising services, or user accounts.

Website Content

When you manually start a screenshot capture, SnapVeil temporarily processes the visible content of the active browser tab in order to create and edit the screenshot.

All screenshot processing, cropping, annotation, blurring, pixelation, and redaction happens locally in your browser.

Captured website content is not uploaded or transmitted to SnapVeil or any external server.

Clipboard and Downloads

If you choose Copy, SnapVeil writes the resulting screenshot to your device's clipboard.

If you choose Download PNG, the screenshot is saved locally to your device.

These actions only occur when initiated by the user.

Browser Permissions

SnapVeil uses the following Chrome permissions:

• activeTab — temporarily accesses the active tab when the user starts a screenshot.
• scripting — displays SnapVeil's local screenshot selection and editing interface on the active page.
• clipboardWrite — allows the user to copy the finished screenshot to the clipboard.

SnapVeil does not request permanent access to your browsing history or all websites.

Data Sharing

SnapVeil does not sell, transfer, or share user data with third parties.

No screenshot data is sent to external servers.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if SnapVeil's functionality changes. Any changes will be reflected in the latest version of this policy.
